Abstract

Mr. McClure is a Software, Systems, and Network Engineer with specialization in Security/IA solutions.  He has experience on hundreds of projects spanning over 40+ years with both Fortune 500 companies and Government Agencies (US Federal & State, UK, Canada,  Australian, New Zealand).

• On-Going, Mr. McClure is an SME in Micro services technology. He programs in Java, Python, Javascript, C#, C++, and stays certified every 3 years in each of these technologies.  In his extra time, he writes Phone/Tablet apps and Computer/Mobile games.
• 2006, Led the design and development of very large scale (global) Fortune 500 and US Gov Web-based Systems/Services and their security infrastructures.  He designed and developed the Federated access control Security reference architecture and prototype for use in all of the DoD DCGS programs.

Omnyon, Inc.:  6/2021-2/2023, Principal Software Engineer, VoIP Software Modernization Program.  Mr. McClure was called on to convert a vital 12 year old Web-enabled Mission System (in Java) that ran on Windows 2016 Server to CentOS 7 Linux.  In the process, he updated the software system to use JDK16 from JDK 8, converted the entire build system from Ant to Maven, and ripped out the legacy Log4J logging system to use the newer SLF4J/Logback.  He also trained the entire Dev Team to use CentOS 7 and Eclipse to develop code, and to use Maven with Shade, WAR, and EAR plugins to build it.  He re-trained the Team System Admins from Windows to Linux and how to install and properly set up Application, Database, and Message Queue Servers and run them as Linux Services. He led a wide variety of software development projects including data base systems, application systems, and communications programming using message queues and inter-process communications.
